Hey everyone! How are you all doing? Things are going great here. Last week was pretty good, but it's been raining a lot and on Thursday I got really sick and was in bed basically all of Thursday and Friday. But other than that, everything has been great.
We got transfer calls yesterday, and I'm finally leaving Alverca! Alverca is amazing, and it will be very sad to part with the members here, but I'm super excited because I got transfered to the Azores! For those who don´t know, the Azores are a group of islands in the Atlantic ocean, basically between Portugal and America (at least one of the islands is closer to America than Portugal). But it´s part of our mission, and I'm going there! I´m super excited.
So, this week I was reading in the scriptures, and on Tuesday I read something super cool and thought, "This is great, I´m going to put this into my weekly email." But when I got sick I forgot everything and I didn't write anything down, so I don't remember what I wanted to share with you.
Today I was thinking about imagining, and our ability to think of things that don't exist. I was actually thinking about the phrase, "If you can imagine it, you can achieve it." and trying to decide if I agreed with it. And as I thought, I realized that imagination is a gift from God, and He gave it to us for a reason. So what is the reason? Well, the scriptures teach us that all things are created spiritually before they are created physically. So I think that imagination is how we create things spiritually! It´s the planning phase before we do anything physically. And anything that can be made spiritually can be made physically, especially with the help of God. And so, I believe that with God, we can achieve anything we imagine.
Anyway, that was just a random thought I had today. A little bit later Elder Buarque locked our keys in our house. That´s always fun.
Well, have a great week everyone! Next week I should have some cool pictures of the Azores.
I love you all!
